The Community Garden Makes the Paper Again

The article that I posted here on the blog last week was also published in The Guardian, the Charlottetown paper as well.  And just a few days ago, the Journal Pioneer published an editorial cartoon about the garden.  I'm so glad it's getting this attention so early!  We're still in the process of forming a committee and getting the planning properly underway, so hopefully we can keep up the momentum.  Here's a photo of the Journal editorial:

  1. Hopefully James will be more excited about the garden than the crying kid in the photo!

  2. That is something I hope to get started here in the future! Any ideas?

    1. Clint there are some really good handbooks for starting community gardens that are put out by organizations around the world, one that you might be interested in is Wasatch Community Gardens which I believe is in Salt Lake City. Here is a link to their handbook: http://wasatchgardens.org/files/resource/attachment/FromNeglectedParcelsToCommunityGardens.PDF
